While working as procurement officer, I was privileged to sharpen my negotiation skills since I would source for quotations for various office supplies, correspondence with the vendors, comparing costs hence further negotiating for best price factoring in merchandise quality, wait and delivery period agreed terms of payment.
Planning was key in having to stock hence counter dead stock challenges which I was well able to manage by conducting weekly stock take which I did concurrently and accurately managing inventory as received when bought and updating on a reducing balance when issued hence monitoring materials flow that in turn averted untimely stock outs.
