Accountant
 Braeburn Schools Limited, is seeking an exceptional Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing and managing financial operations at the school / head office level.
This includes ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with internal controls and supporting broader financial strategy implementation in collaboration with the Senior Accountant and Group Chief Accountant.
Key Responsibilities include;
Accounting Systems & Processes:
 Process all creditors’ payments and reconcile creditor’s statementsPost financial data into SAGE and ensure the information posted in the ledgers is accurate and immediately available when neededPerform monthly cash, bank and MPesa reconciliationsResponsible for day-to-day financial procedures including supplier payments, information sharing and filling ensuring that appropriate follow-up actions are takenEnsure that supplier contractual agreements are correctly in place for all key suppliersParticipate in regular and ad hoc physical stock takes Financial Processing & Reporting:
 Accurate day-to day financial record keeping and reportingUpdate accounts payable sub ledgers, ensure accurate posting to correct accounts, periods and perform monthly reconciliationsRegular reviews of various registers including cheques, petty cash, withholding tax and withholding VAT Internal Controls, Cash & Cost Management – in liaison with Senior Accountant & Group Chief Accountant:
 Institution and continuous improvements of internal controlsIdentification of key cost drivers and ways of managing themManagement of schools working capital, cash flows, debtors and creditors managementPerform banking transactions as schools bank known agentAssisting in school safe related duties Stakeholder Management:
 Providing support to the team leaders in preparation of weekly, monthly and annual reports required to be presented to the school management Payroll:
 Carrying out reconciliation of payroll inputs in coordination with the Payroll AdministratorReceive and coordinate any payroll related issue for respective site (campus) with Payroll AdministrationEnsure that eligibility limits are adhered to General:
 Provide oversight and assistance to the Accounts Assistant(s) as necessaryAssist in internal and external auditsPerform other tasks within your capability as may be assigned by the school Head or Group Chief Accountant or their representatives Experience and Competencies Required:
CPA Part Ill plus any other relevant academic qualifications
 Proven administration experience / trainingGood interpersonal and communication skills.A keen sense of thoroughness and an eye for detailMarked ability to prioritise and effectively complete allocated tasksBe able to understand and carry out instructionsCompetent in MS Excel, Word and knowledge and experience of an ERP / accounting package
