Company Description
CGCOC Group Co. Ltd, in Joint Venture with Beijing Urban Construction Group Co. Ltd and Beijing Heshuntong Municipal Engineering Co. Ltd, has been awarded the contract for the Construction Works for Rehabilitation of Central Nairobi Area Water Network.
The project is located within Nairobi's Central Business District and Central Industrial Area and is being implemented under the Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA).

Job Summary
Under the general direction and guidance of the Contractor and pursuant
to the policies and procedures of the Group, the Contract/Office Engineer
executes and participates in the execution of the Contract Engineer works
as per the contract requirements, with efficient and effective utilization of
resources, organization for timely and quality delivery of the project works
towards the Client′s satisfaction and the profitability as well as reputation
of the group.
Detail Duties

Prepare schedules, plans and budgets, and revise when required,
Assess contractual risks from contract documents, encountered issues through the project progress, encountered issues from communications with stakeholders, propose mitigations and prepare the documents accordingly upon decision.
Compile daily site diaries and executed works data collecting from site Engineers/foremen,

Prepare contractor's payment certificates,

Prepare minutes of tripartite or two parties or internal meetings, and record photos of participants,

Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports including ESHS reports, or
other status reports as required,

Prepare contractual outgoing letters, when required, compile incoming
letters, memo, and minutes of meetings,
Compile payment documents, progress reports and other company reports, laboratory test results, shop drawings and as built drawings, site photos showing the progress of works and events in soft and hard copies in a manner that which could be retrieved as required,
Facilitate tripartite, two parties or internal meetings, when it is held in contractor's office,
Handle office guests of the contractor,
Participate in 2C or tripartite meetings or other stakeholders' meetings as contract Engineer and also for recording,
Follow up and, two months and one month notice to Finance Section about renewal of performance and advance payment guarantees,
General office management, posting project information and updates on office walls, prepare brochures during site visits by guests,
Follow up and notice of calibrating construction, laboratory and surveying equipment,
Check project works against standards, regulations, safety and environment requirements, and advise the management,
Advise the Construction Manager on contractual and legal issues disputes, if any,
Exercise value Engineering together with the Quantity Surveyor, if any
Perform other assignments and responsibilities given by the immediate supervisor.

Similar work experience:
Minimum 4 years in contract engineering on large-scale infrastructure or water supply projects.
