Digital Engagement & Content Manager, Global Communications
The Engagement and Content Manager, Global Communication role will lead our content strategy and engagement initiatives across multiple channels, including social media.
This role combines creative storytelling with strategic communications to engage diverse audiences, including donors, partners, policymakers, and researchers.
Responsibilities
40% – Content Strategy and Creation:
Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies across all digital platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and brand voiceWrite, edit, and manage compelling content for the website, blog, monthly newsletter, and social media channelsWork with research, communications, philanthropic partnership teams, and other internal teams to translate complex findings into accessible content for various audiencesCreate engaging multimedia content, including photos, videos, and infographics to support storytellingMaintain editorial calendar and coordinate content production with global teams. 20% – Digital Engagement
Lead social media strategy and management across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and YouTubePlan and execute organic social media campaigns to support strategic communications prioritiesManage blog writing and review, ensuring adherence to IPA writing guidelinesSupport website content updates, as neededMonitor and analyze engagement metrics to optimize content strategy and campaign performance. 20% – Philanthropy Support
Collaborate with the Philanthropy and Partnerships team to create targeted content for fundraising initiatives and donor engagement, including the annual fundraising campaign. Qualifications
Required:
5+ years of experience in digital communications, content management, or a similar roleProven track record in developing successful content strategies and engagement campaigns for research, international development, or academic organizationStrong project management skills with ability to manage multiple deadlinesExceptional writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detailExperience with social media management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social)Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse global teams across time zonesBachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related fieldAbility and willingness to travel up to 5% of the time.
