Master Power Systems Limited (MPSL) came into inception in and is now a leading engineering and contracting company specialized in designing and executing electrical works, with the main focus being in the corporate market strong minded in providing quality service.

Today, MPSL has grown and works on electrical installation projects all over Kenya, Uganda and it is spreading far across East and Central Africa.

With highly experienced staff of about on payroll and casual staff, we have the capacity to deliver the best.

We are continuously striving to expand our operations by diversifying geographical risks and consequently we have opened up an office in Mombasa and Kampala, Uganda.


Electrical Engineer – Procurement Incharge

Role Description


This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Engineer – Procurement Officer located in Nairobi County, Kenya.

The role involves overseeing the procurement of electrical components, managing supplier relationships, ensuring quality control, and coordinating with the engineering team to support power distribution and systems design.


Qualifications

  • Electrical Design and Engineering skills

  • Knowledge of Electricity and Power Distribution

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

  • Procurement and supplier management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Professional certification (e.g., PE license) is a plus

  • Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering skills

  • Knowledge of Electricity, Power Distribution, and Power Systems

  • Experience in procurement activities related to electrical engineering projects

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering skills

  • Knowledge of Electricity and Power Distribution

  • Experience in Power Systems

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Professional certification in electrical engineering is a plus

  • BOQ and Project Estimation skills

  • Strong negotiation and research abilities

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in electrical engineering projects

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Professional certifications in Procurement/Estimation are a plus

  • Purchase Orders and Procurement skills

  • Strong knowledge of ERP system.

  • Contract Negotiation skills

  • Analytical Skills proficiency

  • Experience in purchasing

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience – 5 Years plus in the Electrical or MEP Company/Field.

  • AutoCAD / Revit knowledge.

  • In depth knowledge of Electrical Items.
