Nestlé Kenya Limited was established in and is wholly owned by the Nestlé Group.Nestlé Kenya plays a strategic role as part of the Nestlé Equatorial African Region.
The Nairobi factory supplies products tothe local market, in addition to exporting to some EAC, COMESA and European markets.
Head of Distributor Development
As the successful candidate, a typical day will:
Develop strategic direction / guidelines for Distributor Management & Operations for sustainable growth.Management of distributor in line with distributor management best practices.Coordinate with Distributor Development Managers on Distributor Sales Operations Issues (customer service level/ sales operations related matters/customer universe data management).Responsible for database management & accurate reporting for effective usage to improve effectiveness.Lead and manage Distributor via Distributor Management Best Practices -Thruput Management, Financial / Credit days, Warehouse Operations – People & Systems.Develop a high performing and motivated team to contribute to the effective planning and execution of Joint Business Plans with the customer in line with the Nestlé Leadership Framework through Everyday coaching and effective performance development.Coordinate with distributor teams on distributor stock availability Issues (VMI) – ensure supply, delivery, customer service level and stock constraints list.Manage the customer/distributor plan, periodically reviewing the performance and revising the course as needed.Responsible for distributor warehouse management & Distributor Warehouse Incentive Sales evaluation (perform distributor half yearly evaluation is completed for DWIS payout)Lead and develop Nestle Information System requirements for Distributor Operations.Ensure strict adherence to WHO and Local Code Compliance. University degree in Sales/Marketing.Minimum 7 years’ field sales experience and at least 5 years’s experience in Distributor Management.Demonstrable expertise in: Distributor Management-Delivering Superior Store Execution.
