Polish Humanitarian Action is humanitarian non-profit organization basen in Warsaw/Poland.
For almost a 28 years we have been delivering humanitarian aid to people suffering due to armed conflicts and natural disasters.
Currently we are working in Somalia, Kenya, South Sudan, Ukraine, Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq.
Head of Programmes
Key responsibilities:
In cooperation with the Country Representative, develops a long-term strategy for programmes for the Country Office in Kenya, operationalizes and leads its implementationDefines the common approach and quality standards in PAH Programmes and monitors their coherent application across programmesProvide leadership and direction and responsible for timely and effective implementation of activities as well as use of budget and other resources enabling synergies in the Programmes, assuring compliance with internal standards (e.g. PCM guidelines)Lead on proposal development; coordinate and manage proposal writing by identifying sources for programmes financing and funding opportunitiesLeads Programme Team, i.e. selects, assesses performance, motivates, establishes supporting relations and develops project staffLiaises and engages in cooperation with stakeholders such as donors, institutions, authorities, international and national non-governmental organizations, international organizations (IOs), clusters representing PAH The successful candidate will be selected based on the qualification requirements described below:
Experience in leading and managing WASH/FSL and other development programmes (minimum 4 years)Documented successes in applying for institutional and private fundsProven experience in project management (at least 4 years)Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and culturesStrong results orientation with the ability to challenge existing mind-setsProven ability to manage a complex and demanding workloadHighly developed interpersonal and communication skillsStrong sense of personal and professional integrityExcellent spoken and written in English and KiswahiliGood knowledge of Microsoft Office toolsUniversity degree in relevant field
