It is strategically located near Voi Town, about 8 kilometers off the Mombasa-Nairobi highway in Taita Taveta County.
It is an Academic Centre of Excellence with a special focus on Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering.
Manager, Partnerships and Resource Mobilization
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to: The Endowment Fund Board of TrusteesDuration: Two year performance-based contract renewable subject to satisfactory perfomance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy aligned with Taita Taveta University Endowment Fund’s Strategic Goals.Identify and establish strategic and sustainable relationships with potential development partners and donors.
, including individuals, corporate sponsors, grant-making bodies, foundations, and government agenciesDevelop and Manage the Fund annual budgetPrepare financial and administrative reportsDevelop and manage a robust pipeline of funding opportunities.Lead in the conceptualization, development and marketing of grant proposals and other funding applications.Develop and implement an annual workplan for the Fund.Monitor, evaluate and report on implementation of the Fund policies, programmes, projects and related activities.Prepare documentations and organize meeetings of the Board of Trustees. Partner and Donor Relations Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and donors, both existing and potential.Represent Taita Taveta University Endowment Fund at stakeholders forums, including fundraising events and networking platforms.Develop and implement partners and donor stewardship plans to ensure ongoing engagement and support.Maintain effective communication with partners and donors. Team Leadership:
Provide effective leadership to ensure Fund goals and objectives are achived and sustained.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.Possession of a Master’s Degree in a relevant field, from a recognized institution, will be an added advantage. Experience:
Proven and demonstrable track record in fundraising and resource mobilization.Demonstrable knowledge and experience in development and management of successful funding proposals.Demonstrable knowledge and experience in project monitoring, evaluation and reporting.Demonstrable knowledge and experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and donors.At least six years experience in resource mobilization, financial management and management of partner and donor relations. Skills:
Management of Board meetingsStrong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and other stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Capacity in fundraising principles, practices, and best practices.Familiarity with grant writing and proposal development.Proficiency in using fundraising software and databases.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
