Duties and Responsibilities
Mobilize study participants in accordance with predefined criteria outlined in the study Guidelines.Conduct quantitative in-person interviews with study participants following the provided questionnaire and protocolsEnsure accurate and complete data collection during interviews, paying attention to detail and maintaining confidentialityEdit and submit collected data for daily cross-checking and verification by the designated team leaderFill in and submit daily field reports/timesheets accurately and in a timely mannerAttend all scheduled training sessions and progress meetings as required by the project teamMaintain the safety and responsible handling of all study tools and equipment provided for the interviewsAssist the research team in other project-related activities as neededAny other tasks assigned by the supervisor to further the project’s objectives Minimum qualifications
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of C Plain or equivalentProficient in English, Kiswahili and local languages (Rendile/Borana/Somali/Dholuo (verbal and written))Experience in electronic data collection methods like SurveyCTO or Open Data Kit (ODK) is highly desirableStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both spoken and writtenAbility to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and accountabilityMust be a resident of Homa Bay or Isiolo CountiesAbility to adhere to protocols and guidelines for data collection, ensuring ethical conduct throughout the research processPrevious experience in conducting quantitative interviews Qualitative Field Interviewers
Duties and Responsibilities
Moderate/ facilitate qualitative interviews with various stakeholders at county and Community levelsRecord interviews, take notes and compile comprehensive qualitative interview debriefing notesHold debrief discussions and exploration of ideas between the interviewers and the investigatorsPrepare data collection progress updates and reportsAny other related activities assigned by the supervisor and project manager Minimum qualifications
Holder of a bachelor’s degree preferably in Early Childhood Development or any relevant disciplinePrevious experience conducting qualitative interviewsProficient in English, Kiswahili and local languages (Rendile/Borana/Somali/Dholuo (verbal and written))Excellent communication and interpersonalShould be available to provide any clarification on the translation when needed to do soMust be a resident of one of the study counties (Homa Bay or Isiolo counties)
