Job Summary
The primary function for this position is to recruit, sereen,enroll and follow up participants in compliance with the study protocol
Roles and responsibilities
Screen and recruit potential study participantsPerform consenting procedures for potential study participantsConduct interviews for study participants using the study data collection tools as per Standard Operating ProceduresConduct any clinical assessments counselling sessions as required by the study protocolEnsure study data collection tools are completed with utmost accuracyTrack all participants enrolled in the study and conduct phone and community tracing for those who miss appointments as appropriatePerform data entry on various study databasesSubmit weekly summaries of enrollment and follow-up Required Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Biomedical Sciences, Applied Sciences, Public Health, Demography, Epidemiology or any relevant Social Science, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.Having counselling skills is an added advantageAt least two years’ relevant work experience as research assistantCertificate in Protection of Human Research Subjects and Good Clinical PracticeGood written and verbal communication skills in English and KiswahiliProficiency in computer application and competent in data entry skills; proficiency in data collection using REDCap is an added advantageAbility to work independently with minimal supervision
