Senior IT & Systems Engineer (Power Platform & AI Integration Lead)
Job Objective
Drive the design, development, integration and maintenance of intelligent business applications using Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot AI.
This role focuses on streamlining business processes, automating workflows and integrating AI capabilities to improve customer service, network performance and operational efficiency – while upholding high standards of security and compliance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Serves as a critical enabler for the organisation’s AI journey, using Power Platform as a practical launchpad for identifying and prototyping automation and AI use casesContinuously explore emerging AI tools and Copilot integrations to inform scalable enterprise AI strategiesPlays a transitional role between low-code automation and advanced AI integration, helping the organisation move from operational improvements to intelligent systemsDesign, develop and deploy solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Dataverse.Integrate Azure AI capabilities into business workflows, enhancing automation and user experienceCollaborate with business units to identify automation opportunities and translate them into scalable Power Platform solutionsCustomise and extend Microsoft services using PowerShell, Graph APIs, and SharePoint integrationsBuild dashboards and reporting tools in Power BI to deliver actionable insights across departmentsEnsure proper versioning, documentation and maintenance of Power Platform solutionsImplement governance best practices, including role-based access, auditing and environment managementSupport the development and fine-tuning of LLMs or prompt-based Copilot interactions tailored to business needsWorks closely with leadership and IT to evaluate and shape the organisation’s broader AI roadmap, based on practical findings and iterative deploymentsBridges tactical implementation with strategic vision – translating experiments into insights that can guide enterprise-wide AI adoptionMaintain compliance with data privacy and telecom industry regulations through strong security and governance practicesCollaborate with the IT and Security teams to align cloud deployments and AI implementations with company standardsEngage with external partners and vendors to enhance solution capabilities where neededProvide technical guidance, documentation and training to internal teams to support adoption and usage Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognised university4+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power AutomateDemonstrated experience with Azure AI, LLMs, and open-source foundation models3+ years of hands-on experience developing full-stack solutions using APIs, REST APIs, M Graph APIs, and PowerShell scripting2+ years of experience with Microsoft product suite and automation solutionsHands-on experience with Azure Machine Learning Studio and Azure Cognitive SearchFamiliarity with Prompt Engineering and LLM fine-tuning Experience & Skills
Strong understanding of AI governance, responsible AI practices, and foundational concepts such as model interpretability and data privacyDemonstrated experience in designing and implementing AI/automation solutions, particularly within Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft environmentsAbility to translate practical use cases into AI adoption strategies, contributing to enterprise AI roadmaps and digital transformation goalsProven capability in cross-functional collaboration, working effectively with technical, business, and leadership teams to deliver value-driven solutionsSkilled in decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication, especially in fast-paced or exploratory environmentsFamiliarity with RPA tools, low-code platforms, and their integration into business processesKnowledge of network automation, AI-driven operations, or AI-enhanced cybersecurity in telecom is a plus Attributes
