Minimum Qualification and Experience
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain and Logistics; Purchasing and Supplies, Commerce (Supplies Management Option), BA (Supplies Management option) or equivalent;Must have at least three years ‘relevant experience as supply chain assistant or equivalent position;Be a Member of a relevant professionally body and be in good standing;Proficiency in computer applications; andDemonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results. Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: –
Preparing tender documents;Secretariat services to the tender opening and technical evaluation committees;Secretariat services to procurement committees;Preparing periodic procurement reports;Participating in technical and financial evaluation of tenders;Handling queries from both internal and external customers;Implementing provision of the Procurement manuals;Conducting market research and surveys of goods and services;Providing input in preparing specifications;Ensuring safe Custody of stores;Participating in quality management and performance contracting processes; andIssuing of stores to users.
