The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) is a non-profit, scientific institution that conducts research on the most pressing challenges of forest and landscape management around the world. Using a global, multidisciplinary approach, we aim to improve human well-being, protect the environment, and increase equity. To do so, we conduct innovative research, develop partners’ capacity, and actively engage in dialogue with all stakeholders to inform policies and practices that affect forests and people. CIFOR is a CGIAR Research Center, and leads the CGIAR Research Program on Forests, Trees and Agroforestry (FTA). Our headquarters are in Bogor, Indonesia, with offices in Nairobi, Kenya; Yaounde, Cameroon
Duties and responsibilities
Collect, clean and organize household survey data for various projects Analysis of adoption and ex-post impacts of improved technologies on productivity, food security and poverty; Analysis of productivity, technology adoption and efficiency; Learning and support to develop market opportunities that increase adoption of research outputs; Assist in project administration. Coordinate and lead project field activities. Any other duties as may be instructed by the Supervisor.
Requirements
Education, knowledge and experience
A Master’s degree in Economics or a related field. Experience in management and analysis of large household survey data. Knowledge and savvy of data analysis software, especially Stata. Very strong analytical skills and applied statistical experience. Good scientific wring experience. Personal attributes and competencies

This is a Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) position. CIFOR-ICRAF offers competitive remuneration in local currency commensurate with skills and experience. The initial appointment will be for 1 (one) year, with a six-month probationary period, with the possibility of extension contingent upon performance, continued relevance of the position and available resources. The duty station will be in Nairobi, Kenya CIFOR-ICRAF Offices.
