Mwananchi Credit Limited was incorporated as a private limited company under the Companies Act (Cap ) of the Laws of Kenya.

It initially started operations under the names Mwananchi Microlink Ltd which was incorporated on 15th April .

On 10th January , it later changed its names to Mwananchi Credit Limited.


Head of IT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee IT infrastructure, security and digital systems Implement fintech solutions to enhance service delivery

  • Manage IT staff and external vendors

  • Ensure data security and regulatory compliance
  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Computer science, IT or related field

  • 8+ years in IT managerial roles

  • Experience in financial or microfinance tech systems
  • Credit Risk Manager

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7-10 years of experience in credit risk management, financial analysis, or lending operations.

  • Proven track record of managing large credit portfolios or team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or MSc in Finance or Risk Management) is preferred.
  • Head of Credit Monitoring

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor loan portfolio quality and early warning indications

  • Flag potential defaults and support collections

  • Work closely with credit and recovery teams

  • Develop credit monitoring frameworks
  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Banking, Finance or Economics

  • 5+ years in credit or portfolio monitoring Experience with credit analysis
  • Regional Sales Managers

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise sales teams across branches in a region

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies

  • Monitor sales targets and customer acquisition

  • Train and mentor sales staff
  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in sales, Marketing or Business Administration 5+ years in sales leadership, preferably in financial services

  • Strong leadership and regional market knowledge

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all branch activities and staff

  • Ensure customer growth and service excellence

  • Drive loan disbursement and portfolio quality

  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and policies
  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Economics

  • 4-6 years in branch or sales management Knowledge of the local market
  • Procurement Manager

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage sourcing, purchasing and supplier management

  • Ensure cost effective procurement aligned with quality stanadards

  • Maintain procurement records and audits

  • Develop and enforce procurement policies
  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in procurement, Supply chain or Business

  • 5+ years in procurement roles

  • Certification in procurement (e.g. CIPS) is a plus
  • Head of Collections and Recoveries

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead collections strategy and reduce non-performing loans

  • Monitor delinquency reports and initiate recovery actions

  • Oversee field recovery officers

  • Coordinate with legal for recovery through courts if needed
  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Finance, Business or related field

  • 5+ years in debt recovery or collections

  • Knowledge of credit risk and collection regulations
  • Product Development Manager

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, test and implement new financial products

  • Track performance of new offerings and iterate improvements

  • Work with risk and compliance teams to meet regulatory standards

  • Support customer education and adoption strategies
  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Economics or a related field

  • 5+ years in product development or innovation in finance

  • Knowledge of customer centric design and market testing
  • Head of Legal

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide legal counsel and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Draft and review contracts and policy documents

  • Represent the organization in legal proceedings Mitigate legal risks and mange litigation
  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Masters in Law

  • Advocate of the high court with 7+ years legal experience

  • Familiarity with financial regulations
  • Deputy Finance Analyst

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Budget Preparations and Financial reporting

  • Analyze financial data and provide forecasts

  • Support audits and compliance Checks

  • Monitor Cash flow and cost perfomance
  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting or Economics

  • CPA/ACCA Certification is an advantage

  • 2-4 years in financial analysis or accounting
  • Assistant Finance Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.

  • Internal and external audits.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards.

  • Manage accounts payable/receivable and payroll support.
  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is a plus).

  • 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience.

  • Proficiency in financial systems

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily branch operations and staff performance.

  • Meet sales targets and grow customer base.

  • Ensure regulatory and compliance adherence.

  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3-5+ years of banking or financial services experience.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct Market research and competitor analysis

  • Define product requirments and road maps liase with development, marketing and compliance teams

  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field.

  • 3-6+ years in product development or financial services

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and manage asset finance products.

  • Develop pricing models and credit policies.

  • Build relationships with dealers and vendors.

  • Analyze customer needs in asset-backed financing.

  • Monitor product performance and market trends.
  • MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business.
