Field Service Engineer – Rotary

We are looking for a talented Field Service Engineer to join our Service team and work with Sidel high-speed Rotary Blowing, Filling, and Labeling machines.

This role involves traveling across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific, supporting our global clients with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced equipment.


Your Mission

  • Installation, Qualification & Testing and evaluate equipment performance at customer plant, based on technical, contractual and safety specifications.

  • Operate on Mechanical systems, HMI for regular activities and troubleshooting as per Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Execute electrical work (e.g., cable wiring)

  • Properly handle, check, and transfer equipment non-conformities.

  • Prepare Job Progress Chart and technical reports in reference to carried-out activities.

  • Ensure ultimate internal and external customer satisfaction.

  • Perform activities in line with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Sidel coordination plan and customer rules.

  • Report after sales opportunities detected on Customer site.

  • Coach junior colleagues on the on-site behavior, technical activities, troubleshooting and reporting deliverables.

  • Report to the Installation Site Manager for team site activities.

    Level of Education and Language:

  • Graduate of Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering / Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • English fluent, written and spoken.
  • Level of Experience and Skills:

  • Min 5 years’ experience in field service.

  • Experiences in high speed rotary filling machine.

  • Experiences in different application e.g., CSD (Carbonated), HR (Hot Filling), PH (Preferential heating), Aseptic, plasma coating technology PET, and others is an advantage.

    Education and Language

  • Graduate of Mechatronics Engineering / Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • English fluent, written and spoken.
  • Level of Experience

  • Min 5 years’ experience in field service activities especially in Rotary labelling machine e.g. Hot melt, Cold glue, PSL.

  • Experience in the beverage PET / CAN / GLASS industry.

  • Consolidated technical background on Electronics and Mechanicals.

  • Knowledge of Sidel machinery is a PLUS including Blowing / Filling

  • Knowledgeable with the PLC program (Siemens / B&R / ELAU).

  • Able to travel (up to 90% in international environment)

    Your main tasks will include:

  • Deliver product technical training sessions in line with the internal and external customer requirements

  • Monitor and ensure continuous improvement of the training sessions’ quality

  • Design Technical Training material and documentation accordingly to Customers and internal employees training demand

  • Define length and content of TTC Training Courses to maximize quality and effectiveness of learning solutions

  • Create, design and manage training modules to support FSE Training Path

  • Create and design multimedia objects to be included in training materials

  • Support training Innovations by investigating and piloting innovative training methods and solutions

  • Support product training quotation in building the Training offers with guidelines about course length and content

  • Make travel arrangements in cooperation with the reference Training Assistant

  • Mentor junior trainers

  • Technical diploma with a specialisation in industrial automation engineering

  • Fluent in English – Able to travel worlwide.

  • Good understanding of learning solutions and willing to learn Sidel equipment

  • Technical subject matter expertise on Technical Training solution area

  • Knowledge of training content design tools, pedagogy and Soft Ware

  • Previous experience as a trainer and/or Sidel equipment is a plus

    Your Mission

  • Accountable for meeting budgeted sales and margins for the assigned region.

  • Manage the sales managers and develop new markets within assigned region.

  • Establish strong relationships with customers by building a network of contacts within their organization

  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities

    Level of Education and Language

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent;

  • Business school degree is a plus;

  • Required experience and skills:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in capital equipment sales and territory/business area management, particularly in the packaging and/or rigid plastic industry

  • Established customer base and network within the rigid container market

  • Significant rigid container equipment, market and industry knowledge

  • Market evaluation and analysis skills, planning skills; ability to develop and present a value proposition

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Sales management experience; excellent negotiation skills; Experience in managing a team of 2+ managers;

    Your Mission


    Offer Preparation:

  • Understand customer requests and translate his needs.

  • Coordinate with all involved product divisions to provide a full complete solution answering customer needs

  • Support Services sales team in sales, proposals, and presentations as needed

  • Propose additional Services Products when required to secure project success as well as maximizing customer satisfaction
  • Projects Execution:

  • Project registration in SAP

  • Initiate the project with customer and aftersales manager

  • Set a full schedule and coordinate with customer accordingly

  • Evaluate technical feasibility and technical risks of project so as to determine proper level of support at Supply Chain and PM&D

  • Coordinate with all the involved business units to ensure the launching of the correct parts and follow up on delivery

  • Conduct risk assessment and set mitigation plan to reduce any impact on the project

  • Keep monitoring Quality -Cost (Budget) – Delivery (Timeline) of the projects

  • Manage project crisis and plan for a course of action in conjunction with all project actors

  • Arrange the logistics of the parts (packing, consolidation, and shipping to customer)
  • Projects Installation:

  • Planning of the required resources and skills to conduct the installation

  • Coordinate with the planning team to ensure the provision of the right skills

  • Arrange Health Safety Environment & Security (HSE&S) coordination plan

  • Arrange the logistics of the installation team and coordinate with the customers accordingly

  • Coordinate with the team on site and provide the required support to complete the job

  • Create and follow up punch list due to any nonconformity found on site

  • Monitor and support the intervention till he gets the technical acceptance of the project
  • Project Closing:

  • Conduct Root cause analysis to understand the root of the problem and set learned lessons

  • Ensure that all the invoices are issued completely

  • Ensure database update

  • Set a closing meeting with the customer

  • Arrange customer satisfaction survey
