Design monitoring tools, data collection methodologies, and evaluation frameworks to measure program effectiveness, impact, and outcomes. Coordinate data collection activities, including baseline surveys, assessments, and evaluations, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of data. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, patterns, and lessons learned, and communicate findings to stakeholders through clear and concise reports. Provide technical support and capacity building to program staff and partners on M&E methodologies, data collection techniques, and use of monitoring tools. Collaborate with program teams to integrate M&E findings into project planning, implementation, and decision-making processes, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Contribute to the development of knowledge products, case studies, and best practices documentation to share insights and lessons learned internally and externally. Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements and contribute to the timely submission of high-quality reports. Any other duties assigned. Requirements Core Competencies: Analytical Skills Data Collection and Analysis Report Writing and Presentation Skills Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking Ethical Conduct Flexibility and Adaptability Teamwork and Collaboration Results Oriented Technical Competencies: Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks and methodologies Database Management and experience with tools such as MySQL, Microsoft Access, or other relevant database management software is an added advantage. Data Visualization using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization platforms. Report Writing Project Management Research Skills IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with collaboration tools and project management software. Monitoring Systems Developments Evaluation Design and Implementation Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field. Minimum of 3 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in humanitarian or development settings. Strong understanding of M&E principles, methodologies, and best practices, with experience in designing and implementing M&E frameworks and systems. Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, NVivo) and data visualization tools. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Experience working with humanitarian donors and familiarity with donor reporting requirements and standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, partners, and donors. Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of other languages, particularly relevant to the organization's operational context, is an asset. Qualifications/Requirements: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Project Management or a related discipline. Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential. Should be able to maintain accurate/precise records, to perform detailed work and to handle a large volume of work quickly and accurately under time constraints. Should be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision. Courtesy, tact and the ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. Excellent communication, coordination, and cultural sensibility skills. Proficiency in spoken and written English required; UN working languages; Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic and Russian is an advantage.
